Our story.

We established Talk Speech and Language Therapy in 2012 whilst working together in the NHS. Our goal was to create a service that could fully meet the needs of children, families and schools with a tailored approach focused on the best possible outcomes.

Our skilled team has grown organically to meet demand for private Speech and Language Therapy across Bristol and surrounding regions. This growth has been driven by recommendation, positive outcomes and high standards.

Our mission

At Talk Speech and Language Therapy we believe that communication is fundamental to connection, learning, wellbeing and participation in everyday life. Every child and young person communicates differently, and we are passionate about creating supportive environments where individuals feel understood, valued and able to thrive.

We recognise that speech, language and communication differences can impact many areas of life, including learning, relationships, emotional wellbeing and self-advocacy. Our role is to work collaboratively with children, families, schools and organisations to better understand each individual’s unique communication profile, reduce barriers and build on strengths.

As parents, we understand the importance of feeling listened to, supported and empowered. We are committed to providing compassionate, evidence-informed and neurodiversity-affirming support across Bristol and the South West.

We are incredibly proud of our team and the relationships we build with families, schools and settings. Please get in touch to find out how we may be able to support you.

Speech, language and communication skills are crucial for learning, social interaction, emotional wellbeing and life chances.
