Parents & Carers
We offer a clinic service from our Bristol location, working directly with children and their families. We provide assessment, therapy, support and parental advice. For more complex needs, we offer an outreach service to school or home. We can also provide a specialist feeding (dysphagia) clinic for both children and adults.
If you would like to book an appointment, contact us to arrange a free initial phone consultation by completing the form here or by calling 07917 541684
Speech and Language Therapists specialise in supporting children with a wide range of difficulties.
- Attention and listening skills
- Understanding language and following directions
- Using language and expressing themselves
- Speech sounds
- Feeding difficulties (dysphagia)
- Social skills
- Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) e.g PECS and eye gaze technology.
An initial appointment is an opportunity for a 1:1 consultation with an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to discuss any difficulties in detail. The therapist will then assess your child in a fun, friendly and motivating way. The results of the assessment will be discussed with you along with advice and supportive strategies to develop any targeted skills.
If further therapy is recommended, we are also able to offer individualised therapeutic interventions tailored to meet your child's specific needs.
Please don't hesitate to contact us for a friendly discussion about how we can help.
"Brilliant session, given lots of resources and ideas and advice to use at home. Am really finding sessions are making a huge difference. Seth is working hard in the sessions and a lot is covered"
"We are lucky to get Alex for Jay as she is always willing to help us and give information to us. The most important thing is Jay loves to come here to work with Alex. Since we've started speech and language therapy, Jay's progressed a lot . I would highly recommend Talk Speech and Language Therapy"
"Alex has a really great rapport with my daughter which was built very quickly (considering Mia is usually very quiet with new people) Some fantastic ideas for fun games to play to help pronunciation without it being a chore (no feeling of the sessions being a "test") Great follow up support too."
